Meghalaya: Four nabbed with half-a-kilo of heroin in Shillong

Guwahati: The Anti-Narcotic Task Force (ANTF) in East Khasi Hills, Meghalaya apprehended four individuals, including two women, on Friday in Shillong.

The arrests took place in the Fire Brigade area under Laitumkhrah Police Station.

Those arrested were identified as Kai Khaio Hao (62), Gracy Dawman (40), Pholneilam Kipgen (34) and Plalcha Khongsai (31).

During the operation, 34 soap boxes containing a total of 411.99 grams of heroin were seized by the police.

The police further informed that five mobile phones and two waist straps were also seized from the accused.

A case has been registered, and an investigation is ongoing.
