Manipur: Two youths abducted in Thoubal, one killed

Imphal: A group of miscreants allegedly abducted two young men this evening at gunpoint and killed on in Thoubal, Manipur.

The victims, Moinam Md Tomba (20) and Md Farid Khan alias Boycha (20), residents of Keibung Mathak Leikai, were abducted at gunpoint around 5 pm on Monday.

However, of the two, Tomba was found dead on Wednesday evening.

The other youth, Boycha is currently undergoing treatment for severe injuries at a hospital in Imphal.

In a swift response, the police apprehended ten individuals believed to be responsible for Tomba's death.

The arrested include Salman Khurshid (29), Md. Manjur (39), Hawaibam Chester (29), Sinam Aimsum (28), Oinam Leonando Meitei (25), Md. Majibur (19), Elangbam Gobin Singh (33), Mrs. Yangkhubam Rajia (22), Md. Azam Khan (32), and Mrs Silvia (19).

The motive behind this crime remains unclear, and the investigation is ongoing.

Police are searching for any additional suspects involved.
