Manipur to host Barak Festival 2025 from December 12

Scheduled from 12 to 14 December 2025, the 4th edition of the State Level Barak Festival will be celebrated under the theme “Heritage in Harmony” at Zilipou, Senapati District.

Imphal: Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, on Friday evening chaired a meeting of the organising committee for the 4th State Level Barak Festival 2025 at Lok Bhavan (formerly Raj Bhavan), Imphal.
During the meeting, various aspects of the festival were discussed, including budget, programme schedules, transportation, promotion, and the overall positioning of the Barak Festival as a popular tourist attraction in the state.
The Chief Secretary, Additional Chief Secretary, Administrative Secretaries, Deputy Commissioner, and Superintendent of Police, Senapati, along with stakeholders from the district, were present and deliberated on various topics.
Scheduled from 12 to 14 December 2025, the 4th edition of the State Level Barak Festival will be celebrated under the theme “Heritage in Harmony” at Zilipou, Senapati District.
The festival aims to showcase the rich cultural tapestry of the region while strengthening community participation and enhancing its visibility as a key cultural tourism event in Manipur.
The Miss Barak Contest 2025 will be the main attraction of the festival.
