The incident occurred Sunday night when they were under the influence of alcohol.

In a separate incident, Pureirung Henry Dangmei, a 33-year-old Naga tribal from Mahabali Kabui, drowned in the Imphal River near the Mahabali temple.

The bodies of all three victims were recovered by local authorities on Monday morning.

While the bodies of the two men who drowned in the pond are at the RIMS mortuary, the tribal's body has been sent to JNIMS hospital for a post-mortem examination.
