Manipur: Security forces recover huge arms cache in Kakching
Imphal: Manipur police, assisted by Assam Rifles and BSF, conducted a successful operation in Kakching district on Sunday, recovering a cache of arms and ammunition.
Over 120 individuals were verified for identification during a cordon and search operation in Khoidum Mamang Leikai areas.

While no arrests were made, a follow-up search at Hiyanglam Natek-khong and Khoidum areas led to the seizure of weapons.

The recovered items include a country-made pistol, four hand grenades (without detonators), a Chinese hand grenade, five tube launchers, a carbine with a magazine containing 10 live rounds, eight tear smoke shells, one smoke grenade, and a Baofeng wireless set.
The team handed over the seized items to the Hiyanglam police station for further investigation and disposal.
