Manipur: Security forces detain six individuals and seize cache of weapons

IMPHAL: A combined team of the border security force (BSF) and Assam Rifles detained six Kuki individuals, seized various weapons, motorcycles, and incriminating documents, following the dismantling of three bunkers in Aimol Kuki village, Tengnoupal district of Manipur.

The operation, initiated at 4 am on Friday, resulted in the arrest of individuals allegedly engaged in illicit activities over recent months.

Among the confiscated items were four motorcycles and an assortment of weaponry, including a double-barrel gun, single-barrel guns, hand grenades, and ammunition.

Additionally, a separate operation conducted at Pechi village in Thoubal district of Manipur, led to the recovery of firearms and explosives based on actionable intelligence.

The apprehended suspects and seized items have been transferred to the respective police stations for further investigation and legal proceedings.
