Imphal: Manipur schools (government, government-aided, private, and central) will remain closed until Tuesday, June 4th, 2024, according to a notification issued by L. Nandakumar Singh, Director of Education (Schools), Manipur, on Saturday.

This closure extends the previous closure due to the widespread destruction and inconveniences caused by incessant rain, floods, and Cyclone Remal across the state.

The notification also suspends all school-related admission activities until June 4.

Zonal Education Officers and District Inspectors of Schools (Independent Charges) under the Department of Education-Schools, Manipur, are directed to inform all relevant parties and take necessary actions.

This closure follows the initial closure of schools from May 28th to May 31st due to the immediate safety concerns caused by the natural disasters.
