Manipur PSC Mains 2022 hit by question paper mix-up; two papers cancelled
Guwahati: The Manipur Civil Services Combined Competitive (Mains) Examination 2022 hit a major roadblock on Sunday after a mix-up in the question papers led to the cancellation of both General Studies Paper-III and Paper-IV.
Candidates sitting for the morning session at examination centres in Imphal and Guwahati received the wrong question paper—GS-IV instead of GS-III. The error quickly became apparent as soon as the exam began, creating confusion among those taking the test.
In response, the Manipur Public Service Commission (MPSC) acted swiftly to cancel both the GS-III and GS-IV exams scheduled for today. The Commission assured candidates that it would announce new dates for the cancelled papers by this evening.
The MCS Mains Examination 2022, taking place across two centres—Imphal and Guwahati—is a critical stage in the recruitment process for the state’s civil services.
Candidates have expressed frustration over the administrative blunder and have called on the MPSC to ensure fairness and transparency in the rescheduled exams.
The MPSC is expected to release further updates soon.
