Manipur Police athletes win 13 medals at Asian Masters’ Athletics 2025

The Director General of Police (DGP), Manipur, Rajiv Singh, on Monday, felicitated the police personnel who secured medals in different categories in the championship held from 5th to 9th November 2025.

Imphal: Manipur Police sportspersons, including two women, brought laurels by winning 13 medals, 2 gold, 6 silver, and 5 bronze, after taking part in the 23rd Asian Masters' Athletics Championship 2025 held at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

The Director General of Police (DGP), Manipur, Rajiv Singh, on Monday, felicitated the police personnel who secured medals in different categories in the championship held from 5th to 9th November 2025.

(i) Deputy Commandant, 3rd India Reserve Battalion (IRB), W. Thoiba Singh, Manipur Police Service (MPS), won a bronze medal in the Pole Vault (Men 50 age) event.

(ii) Inspector, Thoubal Commando, Md. Imtiyaz Rehman won a bronze medal in the 500 m race (Men 40 age) event.

(iii) Women’s Sub-Inspector (W/SI) L. Bembem Devi of Bishnupur District Police, currently attached to the Criminal Investigation Department–Special Branch (CID-SB), won 1 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze medal in the 200 meters, steeplechase, triple jump, and pole vault (Women 45 age) events.

(iv) Women’s Sub-Inspector (W/SI) Th. Radhesana Devi of Bishnupur District Police, currently attached to the Cyber Crime Police Station, won 1 gold and 4 silver medals in the 4×100 m relay, 100-meter race, 80-meter hurdles, long jump, and 400-meter hurdles (Women 45 age) events.

(v) Head Constable, Imphal West District (HC/IW), N. Brajamani Singh, won a bronze medal in the 5 km walking race (Men 45 age) event.

(vi) Head Constable K. Romeshchandra Singh of the 8th India Reserve Battalion (IRB), currently attached to CID (SB), won a silver medal in the long jump (Men 35 age) event.

(vii) Rifleman, 3rd IRB, S. Somananda Singh, won a bronze medal in the long jump (Men 40 age) event.
