Susindro Meitei specifically commended the introduction of an additional Imphal–Guwahati–Delhi flight at 17:25 IST, alongside the increase in aircraft capacity from 180 to 232 seats. He described this development as a significant boost for regional connectivity, facilitating economic activity, healthcare travel, and smoother transit for students and business travellers from Manipur and the wider Northeast.

“This initiative will greatly ease travel for the people of Manipur, particularly during peak academic, medical, and tourism periods,” the MLA noted, conveying his appreciation on behalf of his constituency and the state.

While welcoming the new flight services, Susindro Meitei requested the Ministry to regulate and rationalise airfares on the Imphal–Guwahati route, recommending ticket prices remain affordable, preferably below Rs 7,000 during standard travel periods. He emphasised that a stable fare structure would encourage more passengers and strengthen regional connectivity under the UDAN initiative.

Concluding his letter, the MLA thanked the Ministry for its continued support and expressed hope for further improvements in civil aviation infrastructure and services for the Northeastern region.
