Guwahati: The Kuki Inpi in Manipur has "condemned" what it termed as a "state-sponsored attack" on Sejang and Mongbung villages in Jiribam district.

The Kuki Inpi accused a combined force of state forces, valley-based insurgent groups (VBIGs) including the Arambai Tenggol, and the CRPF of attacking on July 14 at 9:40 AM.

The statement criticized the CRPF for allegedly colluding with Meitei militants under the command of Huidrom Premjit, DIG, CRPF, leading to the death of a CRPF jawan.

The Kuki Inpi further claimed hundreds of villagers have fled due to the ongoing violence, disrupting daily life and causing hardship.

They stated that over 45,000 Kuki-Zo people are already displaced.

The Kuki Inpi urged the Government of India to intervene and ensure the safety and security of the Kuki-Zo people.

They also demanded the withdrawal of "Meitei" central armed forces and a ban on "Meitei state forces" operating in Kuki-Zo areas.

They called for a lasting peace and accused the Manipur government of human rights violations.

They also proposed the establishment of a separate administrative region for the Kuki-Zo people.
