Manipur: Drone "warfare" turns into major concern
Imphal: Tensions in Manipur have reached alarming levels after a series of incidents involving drones dropping rocket-propelled grenades and bombs on some villages in Imphal West district, adjacent to Kangpokpi district.
The drones have been reportedly used by suspected militants used high to deploy numerous RPGs in the villages of Koutruk, Kadangband, and Sekmai, resulting in the death of a woman and injuries to 11 others.
The police have raised concerns about potential further attacks using drones and high-tech weaponry.

The militants have emulated tactics used by rebels in Myanmar, showcasing strategic and tactical prowess in modern warfare.
Bombs were dropped from drones in Koutruk, Kadangband part one, Kaddanagban part two, and Sekmai areas.

During the incident, a woman was killed while 11 others were injured, including a journalist, security personnel, and civilians, reports stated.
The police said that following the incident combing operations are underway to flush out inimical elements.
