Manipur: Army personnel from Uttarakhand shoots self dead in Bishnupur
Imphal: An Indian Army sepoy of the Kumaon Regiment shot himself dead on Tuesday in Bishnupur, Manipur.
The deceased was posted in Manipur.
He shot himself in his head with his service rifle on Tuesday, the police said on Wednesday while on duty.

He was identified as N Kamal Bhakuni, a resident of Banga village, Almora district in Uttarakhand.
The deceased sepoy was found dead with a bullet injury on his head at the sentry post of the 16 Kumaon Regiment at Ningthoukhong village.

Following a report was filed by one Naik Subedar of the 16 Kumaon Regiment at the Bishnupur police station.
A team of forensic experts along with a team of police rushed to the spot and conducted an inquest of the dead body and its surrounding areas.
Later the dead body was sent to the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences.
Police have registered a case in connection with the incident, the police added.
