Lok Sabha candidate ‘issues death threat’ to Manipur CM Biren Singh

IMPHAL: Independent candidate for Inner Manipur Lok Sabha seat, Moirangthem T Nongshaba, has allegedly “issued a death threat” to Manipur chief minister N Biren Singh.

According to reports, Moirangthem T Nongshaba, allegedly “issued a death threat” to Manipur CM N Biren Singh during a live TV show on April 02.

In this regard, the police at Imphal West district of Manipur summoned Moirangthem T Nongshaba to appear before them for questioning.

In the summon notice, the Manipur police in Imphal West sistrict stated: “During the investigation of the FIR, it is revealed that there are reasonable grounds to question you to ascertain facts and circumstances.”

Failure to comply with the summons may result in Nongshaba's arrest by Manipur police under section 41 A (3) and (4) of CrPC.
