Manipur woman held with drugs worth over Rs 5 crore in Assam

SILCHAR: A woman from Manipur has been arrested in Assam with a sizeable quantity of drugs being seized from her possession.

The woman from Jiribam in Manipur was arrested with heroin worth over Rs 5 crore in Cachar district of Assam.

The police in Cachar district of Assam seized 700 grams of heroin from the possession of the woman from Manipur after searching a vehicle.

The heroin were packed in 50 soap cases and kept in a bag, Assan police informed.

The arrested woman from Manipur has been identified as 35-year-old Nengcha Hmar.
