Manipur police nab three KCP-N militants, recover arms and cash

Guwahati: In a pre-dawn raid conducted on Friday in Imphal West district, Manipur Police nabbed three rebels suspected of belonging to the proscribed Kangleipak Communist Party - Nongdrenkhomba (KCP-N).

The operation was carried out based on intelligence reports indicating attempts by armed individuals to extort money from local businesses.

The arrested suspected KCP rebels have been identified as Loushambam Alin (25), Harish Maibam (22), and Bela Oinam (22), all residents of Imphal West.

One 9mm magazine loaded with 9 rounds (suspected to be stolen from security forces), five mobile phones, a red bag containing Rs 4,00,000 and a black polythene bag containing 25 rounds of .303 ammunition

The Manipur Police have registered a case and are conducting a comprehensive investigation into the matter.
