Manipur police chief and security advisor meet outgoing Governor
Imphal: Security Advisor to the Government of Manipur, Kuldiep Singh, and Director General of Police, Manipur, Rajiv Singh met with the outgoing Governor of Manipur, Anusuiya Uikey on Monday (July 29) at Raj Bhavan in Imphal.
The officers commended the Governor for her efforts in serving the people of Manipur and her initiatives to restore peace and normalcy in the state.
They appreciated her role as the Constitutional Head of the State and said the Governor’s efforts in restoring peace and normalcy in the state were paramount.
She visited different relief camps and extended support to the displaced people taking shelter there.
This is a clear example of how the Governor is concerned about the grievances and the difficulties faced by the people, they added.
The Governor also commended the dedication shown by the officers in the restoration of peace and normalcy in the state.
She encouraged the officers to continue their duties and make decisions in the best interest of the people of Manipur.
Thokchom Lokeshwar Singh, MLA, also called on the outgoing Governor at Raj Bhavan and thanked her for her indomitable services rendered to the people of Manipur.
Singh wished Uikey a healthy and long life ahead.
Sikkim Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya has been appointed Governor of Assam and given additional charge of the Governor of Manipur.
