Manipur: Nine suspected KYKL cadres arrested in Imphal

Imphal: Security forces in Imphal, Manipur busted a valley-based militants' camp and arrested six suspected cadres of the proscribed outfit Kanglei Yawol Kanna Lup (KYKL) on Monday.

The security forces along with the arrests recovered a large number of arms, ammunition, explosives and "warlike" weapons.

On August 24, 2024, Manipur Police arrested 3 KYKL cadres from Changangei Uchekon, Imphal West District.

The arrested individuals, identified as Oinam Milan Singh (52), Yumnam Ranbir Singh (51), and Khaidem Dhanabir Meitei (24), were involved in extortion activities in and around Imphal.

The forces recovered three scopes, three live ammunition, one tube launching empty case, one four-wheeler vehicle, six mobile handsets, various military fatigues and other miscellaneous items.
