Manipur CM meets Gadkari, urges to expedite highway construction works
Imphal: Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh met Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highway in New Delhi on Friday and discussed possible financial assistance from the central government concerning the various developmental road works.
The Manipur CM took to social media and said that he had an engaging meeting with Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari Ji in New Delhi.
Some of the points discussed included expediting highway construction works, construction of all-weather roads in the state, starting with concrete road construction in the Greater Imphal area, undeterred business activities and transportation with increased connectivity and both also spoke about the repairing work along the roadways damaged by the recent flood in the state.
Notably, Manipur CM is In New Delhi to attend a NITI Aayog meeting and a Chief Ministers’ Conclave, which will be presided over by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
