Interview| Lok Sabha polls: BJP in a very difficult situation, says Yogendra Yadav

Renowned political thinker and activist Yogendra Yadav has remarked that the Lok Sabha election , 2024 is intensifying and becoming increasingly competitive.

In an interview with Paresh Malakar, the editor-in-chief of Northeast Now (Assamese), Yadav noted that the first phase of the polls seems to be leaning towards the INDIA coalition.

Yogendra Yadav remarked, "What has been portrayed as a foregone conclusion, a one-sided affair with talk of a 400-plus outcome, is far from the reality on the ground. The election is much closer and dynamic than anticipated, with the first phase showing a favorable trend for the INDIA coalition. The voter turnout figures from this phase are particularly significant as they provide the initial indicators of the election's trajectory. It's evident that the BJP is facing considerable challenges."
