Assam: Transformer explosion injures four in Guwahati

Guwahati: A transformer explosion in Guwahati, Assam resulted in four individuals being severely injured and hospitalised at the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).

The incident took place at the Birubari locality in Guwahati on Wednesday.

The injured include Rinki Tiwari (35), Mira Tiwari (4), Nishant Tiwari (7), and Rohit Ali (40).

According to reports Rinki Tiwari and her daughter, Mira Tiwari, are in critical condition.

Rinki Tiwari sustained burns covering 20-30 per cent of her body, while Mira Tiwari's burns affected 30-40 per cent of her body surface area, with both suffering facial injuries.

Rohit Ali and Nishant Tiwari also received electric burns, though less severe.

All four patients are undergoing treatment at GMCH, with the most critical cases receiving intensive care.
