Assam: Murder suspect arrested after two years in Guwahati
Guwahati: A man suspected of murder was arrested by the police in Guwahati, Assam on Saturday after nearly two years.
According to reports, the man was suspected of murdering a eunuch in Hatigaon two years ago.
Police sources said that the accused had been identified as Sulaiman Ali.
The incident was reported from the Sijubari area in Hatigaon, Guwahati in 2022.

A transgender woman, identified as Bijulee Kinnar was found dead in her rented accommodation.
It was suspected that she might have been murdered by Ali who happens to be her husband.

The police said that the landlord informed them about the incident.
However, Ali who was seen last with Bijulee had been "absconding" since then.
Finally, on Saturday, the police found him in Hatigaon itself based on investigations that lasted nearly two years.
The police said that further investigations are being carried out.
