Govt sanctions Rs 30 Crore for Tripura District Council: CM

Agartala: The Tripura government has sanctioned Rs 30 crore for six key development projects within the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC).

The decision follows a series of proposals submitted by the TTAADC to the state's Tribal Welfare Department, focusing on infrastructure, livelihood, education, healthcare, and overall tribal welfare in Sixth Schedule areas.

Chief Minister Manik Saha said that the government has been consistently providing funds from state and central budgets, along with various development schemes, to promote inclusive growth, expand economic opportunities, and uplift tribal communities.

Chief Minister said that the projects include an extension of Kherengbar CHC and the operationalization of the Mobile Medical Unit.

It also includes the improvement of the Khumulwng–Belbari road to Kherengber CHC via Khumulwng Stadium among other projects.
