KOHIMA: On the sixth day of the indefinite total bandh across all Eastern Nagaland districts, effigies of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, union home minister Amit Shah, and BJP national president JP Nadda were set ablaze on Wednesday (March 13).

This act of protest was carried out as part of the “Public Emergency” declared by the Eastern Nagaland People's Organisation (ENPO) since March 08.

In the Tuensang district of Nagaland, led by Eastern Naga Students Federation (ENSF) president Chingmak Chang along with Chang Wedoshi Setshang (CWS), a mass student protest was initiated, culminating in the burning of effigies at the main police point.

Thousands of people gathered and participated in the agitation, expressing their frustration by burning the effigies of PM Modi, Amit Shah and JP Nadda.

Protestors raised slogans slamming the central government for failing to address the demands of creation of Frontier Nagaland.
