Complete projects within time: Mizoram Guv to BRO
Aizawl: Mizoram Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati on Thursday urged the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), a road construction agency, to complete its projects within a stipulated time frame, Raj Bhavan sources said.
In a meeting with the chief engineer of Project Pushpak Girish Prasad Singh at the Raj Bhavan here, Kambhampati emphasised the importance of road construction particularly in border areas, the sources said.

He told Singh that border road projects under the BRO should not be delayed but be completed within the time frame.
He said that projects should be executed and implemented keeping in mind the topographic and climatic challenges of the state, the sources said.

Kambhampati resumed his duty as the Mizoram governor on Thursday after taking leave for weeks due to illness.
Tripura governor Indra Sena Reddy Nallu worked in his place during his absence.
During the meeting with the governor, Singh briefed him about the various ongoing and upcoming infrastructure projects in the state.
While lauding Project Pushpak's commitment and efforts in planning and executing several projects in the state, Kambhampati urged Singh and his colleagues to do their best in implementing projects and maintenance of roads under BRO
Singh said that border road projects are vital not only for the movement of armed forces but also for boosting trade, tourism, and the overall development of the people.
He also invited the governor to witness the commissioning of 75 infrastructure projects to be opened by Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh from Sikkim on Saturday.
