China building new heliport near LAC in Arunachal Pradesh

Guwahati: China is reportedly constructing a new heliport near the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Arunachal Pradesh, raising concerns about its potential military implications.

The heliport, located in the highly sensitive Fishtails region, is expected to enhance China's ability to quickly deploy troops and surveillance assets to the remote border area.

Satellite imagery of the region has confirmed that the construction is nearing completion.

It has been alleged the heliport may strengthen China's military capabilities along the LAC, particularly in the rugged Fishtails region.
