Agartala: Tripura INIDIA bloc candidate and Pradesh Congress Committee President Asish Kumar Saha on Tuesday alleged that the BJP workers are threatening the opposition counting agents and not allowing them to enter inside the counting halls.

Asish Kumar Saha is contesting from the West Parliamentary Constituency.

He said that even during the election the opposition asked the CEO to take steps but no action came from their end.

“In places like Suryamaninagar, Belonia, Badharghat, and Santirbazar our counting agents were pulled out from counting halls and BJP workers also didn’t allow to enter our counting agents. I was trying to connect with the West Parliamentary Constituency Returning Officer but was unable to reach him so I came here at the RO office to complaint physically”, he said.

He, however, claimed that the INDIA Bloc is doing well in the country.

“The democracy and its system have been murdered and buried in this state. Yesterday, we also informed the RO about the need for security and safety in the counting halls. He has totally failed,” he added.
