BJP candidates leading, people reject CPIM, Congress: Tripura BJP Chief

Agartala: The counting of two seats for Lok Sabha which began at 8.30 am this morning, both the candidates of BJP are leading.

The BJP candidate Biplab Kumar Deb who contested from West parliamentary Assembly Constituency is leading with 8,56,553 while INDI bloc candidate Asish Kumar Saha is trailing with 2,62,151 votes.

Meanwhile, in the East (ST) Parliamentary Constituency, BJP candidate Kriti Devi Sing is leading with 7,67,071 votes while INDI bloc and CPIM candidate Rajendra Reang is trailing with 2,87,386 votes.

Reacting to this, BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharya said there is no doubt that Narendra Modi is becoming Prime Minister of the country as BJP is leading.

“The results reflect the trust and faith of people in PM Modi. I want to congratulate the people of this state and country. In both the seat of Tripura BJP is also leading. Our main agenda is to forfeit the security deposit”, he said.

The BJP chief also claimed that people have rejected the unholy alliance of the CPIM and Congress.
