Bajaj is finally ready to launch the much-awaited Pulsar NS400 on May 3 making it the most budget-friendly 400cc category bike in the Indian market.

The Bajaj Pulsar NS400 comes with a 373cc engine borrowed from the Dominar 400.

It is expected to be priced below the Rs 2 lakh mark, significantly cheaper than other 400cc offerings but the engine itself is likely to retain the Dominar's 40hp and 35Nm output with minimal tweaks.

The NS400 will utilize a modified steel perimeter chassis from the NS200 but with expected weight reduction compared to the 193kg Dominar.

This translates to potentially sharper handling. The motorcycle also boasts upside-down forks, enhancing the overall ride experience.

While the NS400 borrows design cues from the current NS lineup, it might have a new headlamp with a single projector but keep the version 2 NS200 striking lightning bolt-shaped DRLs.

The bodywork will likely adapt to accommodate the larger engine, but the overall look is expected to remain within the Pulsar family design language.

Further, the NS400 will feature the new LCD console as seen on recent Pulsar models, offering Bluetooth connectivity.

Additionally, it might inherit the switchable ABS and traction control system introduced in the updated Bajaj Pulsar N250.
