As a result of the operation, Binod Munda, also known as Sukkhwa, was apprehended from Khunti district in Jharkhand.

The individual in question is a member of the PLFI, a breakaway faction of the Naxal movement, and is wanted in connection with four PLFI cases in Jharkhand.

He has been apprehended in a case linked to the PLFI's efforts to rejuvenate its activities, stated the investigative agency.

According to the NIA, as part of their revival efforts, PLFI members and operatives engaged in fundraising activities by extorting funds from coal traders, transporters, railway contractors, and businessmen across Jharkhand, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha.

During the searches, NIA teams confiscated a range of damning evidence, including documents associated with PLFI, two walkie-talkies, five mobile phones, SIM cards, and Rs 11,000 in cash.
