Assam: Zublee Baruah appears before SIT in Zubeen Garg investigation
Guwahati: Assamese singer Zublee Baruah visited the CID headquarters in Guwahati on Sunday to appear before the Special Investigation Team (SIT) as part of the ongoing investigation into the late singer Zubeen Garg.
During her visit, Zublee recorded her statement related to the probe.
After leaving the CID office, an emotional Zublee briefly addressed the media, sharing her thoughts on Zubeen Garg and the ongoing investigation.
When asked if the SIT would call her again, Zublee responded that she had not received any further summons as of that moment. "We will have to wait for the SIT’s charge report," she said.
Addressing the financial management aspect under investigation, Zublee explained, "Zubeen Da’s management was handled by Siddharth Sharma. He managed my work as well. So far, no irregularities have been found in my case. If there are any issues with Zubeen Da's case, it’s up to the SIT to investigate."
Zublee also made an emotional plea to her fans about the recent piracy of Zubeen Garg’s works, urging them to respect the artist's legacy: “Please don’t indulge in piracy. If you truly love Zubeen Da, don’t pirate his movie.”
