Assam: College student murdered by friends over "love rivalry" in Dibrugarh

Guwahati: A college student was allegedly murdered by two of his friends in Dibrugarh, Assam over a love rivalry.

According to reports, the incident took place in Moran, Dibrugarh district.

The deceased was identified as Kapil Bora.

He was allegedly killed by his friends over a love rivalry.

Kapil Bora, a first-year student at Moran College, was a resident of Demow in the Sivasagar district.

According to reports, two of Bora's friends lured him to a secluded tea estate, where they strangled him to death.

The local police discovered the body and initiated an investigation, leading to the arrest of the two suspects.

During interrogation, both suspects have reportedly confessed to the crime.

The motive behind the murder is believed to be linked to a love affair, which led to a deadly rivalry between friends.

However, the motive is still under investigation.
