Assam: Worker dies after falling from water tank in Boko

Boko: A 20-year-old worker reportedly lost his life while working on a water tank project in Boko of Kamrup, Assam.

The incident was reported from the Gorbandha village in Boko.

Identified as Sofikul Islam, the 20-year-old worker from Nalbari district, lost his life after falling 30 feet while performing welding work on an overhead tank structure.

Despite immediate medical attention, he was declared dead upon arrival at Boko Hospital.

The body was then sent for a postmortem examination at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) to determine the exact cause of death.

The Boko Police have initiated an investigation.

It has been alleged that there were few to no safety measures on the worksite.
