Assam: Woman stabbed to death in Udalguri over witchcraft allegations
Guwahati: A woman in Udalguri, Assam was allegedly killed on suspicion of her being involved in witchcraft, reports stated on Tuesday.
The incident took place in the Chhaya Basti area of Udalguri.
The deceased was identified as Punia Orang.

She was allegedly stabbed to death with an axe on allegations of being involved in witchcraft.
The accused in the incident was identified as Jeme Kheria.

He allegedly killed the woman as she was claimed to be involved in witchcraft by the locals.
However, the police said they were investigating the matter.
The accused was taken into police custody to investigate if any other persons were involved in the murder.
