Assam: Woman murder in Sipajhar, two arrested
Guwahati: At least two men were arrested by the police in Darrang, Assam for the alleged murder of a woman on Saturday.
As per reports, the deceased has been identified as Priyanka Murmur.
The woman was allegedly subjected to sexual assault before being murdered by the two.
Her body was found at a brick kiln site where she was employed as a daily labourer.

Her husband had filed a complaint with the police and based on the complaint, the police arrested two suspects.
The arrested accused were identified as Balaram Himbroom and Alice Talai.
They had allegedly called the victim for some work-related discussion but that turned out to be a trap, reports claimed.

The accused were taken into custody and further they are being interrogated.
It has been found that the accused as well as the deceased were all residents of Kokrajhar district in Assam.
Further investigation is being carried out by the police.
