Assam: Woman kills mother-in-law over land dispute in Bongaigaon

Guwahati: A woman in Bongaigaon, Assam was allegedly murdered by her daughter-in-law after a dispute related to land.

As per reports, the incident took place on Sunday in Bongaigaon's Jogighopa.

Police stated that the incident was reported from the Bharalkundi 10th Block village of Jogighopa.

The deceased was identified as Maryam.

She was allegedly killed by her daughter-in-law identified as in a dispute over land ownership.

The accused has been identified as Sayeda.

She was arrested shortly after she killed Maryam.

The police have begun an investigation into the incident.
