Assam: Woman jumps into Brahmaputra with children in Dibrugarh

Dibrugarh: On Sunday evening a woman, accompanied by her two children, jumped into the Brahmaputra River from the Bogibeel "T" point under the Bogibeel bridge in Dibrugarh, Assam.

A bag containing clothes, a mobile phone, and three pairs of sandals were found on the bridge, a police source said.

The police said that the mother and her sons are still untraceable.

Dibrugarh police and SDRF team have launched a rescue operation.

The woman's husband, an Indian Army personnel posted in Likabali, has been informed and is en route to the scene.

The police said that rescue teams are working tirelessly to locate the missing family members.
