Assam: Woman injured after elephant attack in Hojai

Guwahati: A woman was severely injured after being attacked by a wild elephant in Hojai, Assam on Sunday evening.

As per reports, a wild elephant strayed from its forest habitat and attacked a woman at the Jathiura village in Hojai, Assam.

The incident was captured on video by a mobile phone.

Dimuli Kemprai, a resident of Raikata Kachri Gaon in Hojai, was severely injured in the attack.

Locals acting quickly during the incident rushed her to the hospital for medical attention.

The woman is currently under medical attention.

The villagers, however, managed to chase the elephant away to the forest before it could cause any further damage.
