Assam: Woman dies by alleged suicide in Karimganj
Guwahati: A woman was found dead at her maternal uncle's house in Karimganj, Assam under mysterious circumstances on Friday.
According to reports, the body was found hanging from a ceiling fan with the incident hinting towards a possible suicide case.
She was found dead at a house in the Pagalpatti area on Old Mission Road in Karimganj, Assam.

The deceased identified as Komolika was found on the first floor of her maternal uncle’s house.
A diary was found following her death, reports stated.
In the diary, she mentioned an affair with a man identified as Rajesh Das.

She also stated that she decided to end her life owing to this particular affair.
However, while the initial case seemed to be a suicide, the police have begun an investigation from all angles.
A police source said that they are investigating all angles with a possible murder angle as well.
The police are also awaiting post-mortem reports to determine any foul play.
