Assam: Waris Punjab De associates hospitalised in Dibrugarh

Guwahati: Two associates of Amritpal Singh, the chief of the radical Sikh organization Waris Punjab De, were hospitalized in Dibrugarh, Assam, on Tuesday night due to health concerns.

Kulwant Singh was admitted to the Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) at around 10 pm suffering from epilepsy-related health issues.

According to the AMCH superintendent, his condition has since improved.

Gurmeet Singh, another associate, was also hospitalized at AMCH on Tuesday night for unspecified health reasons.

These developments come amidst the ongoing detention of Amritpal Singh and nine of his associates at Dibrugarh jail.

All ten individuals have been booked under the National Security Act (NSA) for alleged unlawful activities.

The health condition of the two are being closely monitored. Further investigations are also being carried out.
