Guwahati: In a remarkable display of academic brilliance and unwavering passion, Adhiraj Kar from Delhi Public School, Guwahati, has defied conventional expectations by choosing a unique path for his higher studies.

Despite securing top ranks in NEET, JEE Mains, and JEE Advanced, including the coveted AIR 184 in NEET and a spot in IIT Madras, Adhiraj has opted to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree with a research focus at the prestigious Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore.

Adhiraj, a topper in the CBSE Class 12 board exams with a perfect score in Chemistry, has consistently demonstrated exceptional academic prowess. His achievements include being the Assam topper in NEET UG and securing a coveted seat in IIT Madras.

Furthermore, he has excelled in various national-level examinations, such as the National Standard Examination in Chemistry and Biology, where he was placed among the top 1% of candidates in the country.

However, the allure of traditional career paths like medicine and engineering held no sway over Adhiraj's aspirations. His deep-rooted passion for research and academia led him to IISc, an institution know for its cutting-edge research and intellectual environment.

Beyond academics, Adhiraj is a multifaceted young mind with a keen interest in wildlife and music. He is a three-time national champion of the WWF-Nature's Wild Wisdom Quiz and also holds a Visharad degree in Violin.

The son of professors Dr. Bimal K. Kar and Dr. Madhushree Das from Gauhati University, Adhiraj carries a rich academic legacy. His grandparents, Prof. Dr. Himadri Kr. Das and Mrs. Sumita Das, also contributed significantly to the academic landscape of the region.
