TEZPUR: Authorities at Tezpur central jail in Assam are on high alert following the escape of three prisoners.

The escapees have been identified as Indajit Mandal, Zeherul Islam and Thuleshwar Tati.

According to reports, the trio managed to flee by scaling the perimeter wall of the jail.

Indajit Mandal is originally from West Bengal, while Zeherul Islam and Thuleshwar Tati have ties to Thelamara in Assam.

It is noteworthy that Zeherul Islam and Thuleshwar Tati are accused of involvement in cases related to child kidnapping and child rape.

The incident has raised concerns regarding the security protocols at the Tezpur central jail in Assam.

Authorities are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the escape and are intensifying efforts to locate and apprehend the fugitives.
