Assam: Six newly nominated MCLAs inducted into BTC government
Guwahati: Six newly nominated Members of the Council Legislative Assembly (MCLAs) have been inducted into the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) government, headed by Hagrama Mohilary.
The Governor approved the inclusion of these members to ensure representation of the region’s diverse communities.
The six nominated members are Karmeswar Roy (Rajbongshi), Ratan Chandra Rava (Rava), Nandalal Magar (Gorkha), Hem Prabha Devi (Koch), Ajay Kumar Hazarika (Kalita), and Ridip Kumar Deka (Sarania–Kachari).
"Six newly nominated Members of the Council Legislative Assembly (MCLAs) have been inducted into the BTC council government led by Hagrama Mohilary. The Governor has approved the nomination of these six members. They include Karmeswar Roy representing the Rajbongshi community, Ratan Chandra Rava representing the Rava community, Nandalal Magar from the Gorkha community, and Smt. Hem Prabha Devi from the Koch community, Ajay Kumar Hazarika from the Kalita community, and Ridip Kumar Deka representing the Sarania–Kachari community," the official statement said.
The induction is intended to ensure representation of the diverse communities within the BTC area.
