Assam: Sivasagar University Professor Mozharur Rahman passes away
Assam: Professor Mozharur Rahman alias Jerry, 59, a prominent educationist and head of the Department of Computer Science at Sivasagar University in Upper Assam, passed away at his residence in Babupatti on Saturday.
He is survived by his wife and a daughter.
He was a gifted student and obtained his postgraduate degree in first division from Jorhat College of Engineering.
He established the Department of Computer Science at the present Sivasagar University and then Sivasagar College with almost a single effort.
He was the Head Professor of the Department until his death.
His body was taken to his workplace, Sivsagar University and the Principal, Vice-Principal, faculty, students and staff paid their last respects to him in a mournful atmosphere.
