Assam Director General of Police GP Singh announced the recovery on his official social media handle, revealing that the arms and ammunition were believed to have been buried during the active days of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB), a militant outfit that has been under a ceasefire agreement with the state and central governments since May 2005.
