Assam: Police foil illegal entry attempts by Bangladeshi nationals
Guwahati: An Assam Police team apprehended and repatriated four Bangladeshi nationals who had allegedly entered India through the Tripura border.
The individuals, identified as MD Abu Shaid, Asadul Islam,
MD Sarwar, and Lipi Akhtar, were seeking labour work in Chennai and had entered the country without proper documentation.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma confirmed the incidents on a social media post.
He claimed that the ongoing political turmoil in Bangladesh may lead to increased illegal infiltration, posing a threat to national security.

The Chief Minister went on to warn that Bangladesh could potentially become a haven for terrorist activities in the future.
The Assam Police have launched a manhunt to trace other accomplices and infiltrators, ensuring the security of the country's borders.
