Assam: Man arrested with half a kilo of heroin in Nagaon

Guwahati: An alleged drug peddler has been arrested by the police in Nagaon, Assam with at least half a kilogram of suspected heroin.

As per reports, the arrest was made on Tuesday night based on specific inputs.

The accused was nabbed from a bus.

While not many details have been released by the police yet, it was reported that the accused was nabbed with 576 grams of suspected heroin.

The heroin was concealed in 46 soap boxes and is worth more than Rs 3 crore.

An investigation has been initiated to trace the origin and destination of the suspected drugs, a police source said.
