Assam: Man apprehended for spreading fake news on ADRE paper leak
Guwahati: A man in Dhubri, Assam was arrested on Friday night for spreading an alleged claim regarding Assam Direct Recruitment Exam (ADRE) paper leak.
The accused identified as Jamal was apprehended from the Kalirkhali area in Dhurbri's Chapar on Friday night, reports stated.
He allegedly made a Facebook post claiming about the ADRE paper being leaked.

However, the claim was found to be fake and misleading.
He was later charged with spreading misinformation which could disrupt the upcoming exams.
Based on the details, the accused was arrested on Friday night, a police source said and further investigation has begun.

It may be mentioned that the State Level Recruitment Commission (SLRC) is scheduled to hold the Assam Direct Recruitment Exam (ADRE) on September 15.
This recruitment and the ADRE aim to fill various Class-III and Class-IV vacancies.
