Assam: Man accused of sexually harassing minor girl in Dibrugarh

Guwahati: A man was arrested after he allegedly harassed a minor sexually in Dibrugarh, Assam on Sunday.

According to reports, the incident took place in Moran Town, Dibrugarh.

The 14-year-old girl was allegedly assaulted by Prasan Das in the Khowang area.

The accused who happens to be married allegedly took advantage of the girl's family's absence.

As he harassed her, the teenager raised an alarm, prompting him to flee.

Later when the family arrived home, the girl told them about the incident and a formal complaint was lodged at the Khowang Police Station.

The police arrested Das based on the complaint and have taken him into custody.
