Guwahati: A fresh landslide has hit National Highway 6, connecting Barak Valley to Guwahati, Assam in the Kuliang area of Jaintia Hills District, Meghalaya, near the Indo-Bangladesh border.

This is the second landslide in the same area within a week, following a similar incident last Tuesday.

The landslide, triggered by continuous rainfall, caused soil and rocks to tumble onto the highway, blocking traffic completely.

As a result, communication between Barak Valley and Guwahati has been disrupted once again.

Hundreds of vehicles are stranded on the roads, causing panic among passengers.

The Meghalaya administration is working to clear the debris and reopen the highway, restoring normal traffic flow.

The recurring landslides in the region have raised concerns about the safety and maintenance of the highway.
